  • Access our free WiFi and use our patron computers
  • Print, photocopy, and fax for a nominal fee
  • Attend book clubs, storytimes, and other programs
  • Express your creativity via our Craft and Lego tables
  • Get help with research, or recommendations for your next read or next watch
  • Shop at our ongoing book sale

Looking for help with something else? Just ask!

ASK THE LIBRARIAN

Yes. We take donations of lightly-used books, audiobooks, and DVDs. We take them any time that we’re open, though we appreciate advance notice if you’re planning to bring in more than a box full. Please do not leave donations outside or in our book drop.

Books that wouldn’t look out of place in a used book store. We are unable to take books with missing pages, highlighting, broken spines, musty odors, mildew spots, etc.

Some items go into our circulating collection; some go to our ongoing book sale.

While we take most lightly-used books and DVDs, we can’t take the following: encyclopedias, travel guides, medical books, computer books, textbooks, VHS, and cassette tapes.

If you don’t need it immediately and it’s at another library in the state, we can usually borrow it for you. Ask us, and we’ll see what we can do! (There are occasional exceptions–most libraries don’t allow their rare and/or irreplaceable books to circulate, for instance.)

We can always use some help at the library. There are books to shelve, gardens to weed, craft supplies to organize, sometimes even openings on our Board of Directors! Tasks vary according to age, interests, and experience: if you have special skills or a certain expertise in a specific area, let us know! We’re looking for folks who are able to pledge at least a few hours a week, especially during the training period–you might be surprised at how much there is to learn.
